In many cultures the hummingbird symbolizes a message of love, joy, and good fortune. In a recent trip to Hawaii in 2024, the artist was inspired by many beautiful plants and flowers with the red Hibiscus being one of his favorites. In Hawaiian culture this flower represents love, passion, and romance. This painting is a mixture of Greg's pointillism style for the sun background and detailed brush strokes for the hummingbird and Hibiscus. The original was painted with acrylics on an 18”x24” canvas and finished in June of 2024.
