About Greg Matsey
Growing up in St. Leon, Indiana Greg had a clear vision to pursue creative work from a young age. He spent a year at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana studying fine art and design. He then transferred and graduated from Antonelli College in Cincinnati, Ohio with a Commercial Art degree. Today he lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with his wife and their three children. His day job consists of developing marketing collateral and maintaining brand standards as Art Director for JobsOhio in Columbus, Ohio.
Greg uses a mixture of painting techniques similar to post-impressionism artists, Vincent Van Gogh and Georges Seurat. He has painted a series of pointillism paintings to pay tribute to their original masterpieces, "Starry Night" and "Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grand Jatte". He also has a spontaneous realism style and enjoys experimenting with new techniques.
Greg's original paintings and prints have been shown at Art on the Levee Gallery, Yust Gallery, Fabulous Frames & Art, The Framing Company, Celebrate Local, Redtree Gallery, and several other local shops.
