Matsey Designs is owned and operated by Cincinnati artist Greg Matsey. Creating an original painting and high quality print options that hangs in your home or office for years to come is what fuels Matsey Designs.
Using a mixture of painting techniques similar to post-impressionism artists, Vincent Van Gogh and Georges Seurat. Greg has painted a series of pointillism paintings to pay tribute to their original masterpieces, "Starry Night" and "Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grand Jatte". He also has a spontaneous realism style and loves to experiment and try new things with his artwork.
Greg grew up in St. Leon, Indiana with a clear vision to pursue creative work from a young age. He spent a year at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana studying fine art and design. He then transferred and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Antonelli College in Cincinnati, Ohio with a Commercial Art degree.
